Welcome to the Youth Theater (YT) Program!

This innovative program pushes the boundaries of traditional education theater. Non-competitive and nurturing, Tabor's Youth Theater program focuses on creative processes. Student actors in the 2nd through 8th grade are taught the basics of vocal projection, stage presence, characterization, and the craft of theater.

Tabor is a collaborative environment where students learn to act, project their voices, and have fun, all while working as a team during the ten week rehearsal process. Light, sound, set, prop, and costume meld seamlessly, giving students a professional theater experience.

Since 1995, Youth Theater performances have played to sold out audiences and standing ovations. Come take your bow!

Producing a drama in the spring  and a musical every fall Tabor's Youth Theater program has ushered some of Broadway's biggest hits to the backstreets of Branford! 

We ask that you register at least one week prior to the audition date. We will audition anyone who drops in on the day of the audition; however, they will be auditioned last, and only cast in roles if they are still available. Auditions consist of a brief introduction of general information given by the director, then actors will be partnered with each other and asked to read lines from the chosen production.

Audition fees must be submitted with the audition application. Audition fees are only refunded with 24 hours or more of notice. This policy is strictly followed.

Parents will be billed for the balance of the tuition and a refundable script deposit before the first rehearsal. Cast members are not allowed to attend rehearsal until payment of the tuition and script deposit fees are made in full. Children not enrolled in the ASA program may take the school bus to YT for a $2.00/trip fee. Please ask us for details.
